DAY 1 – AIRPORT / KALPITIYA

Welcomed by a representative of Ebert Silva Holidays at the Bandaranaike International Airport you will be transferred to Kalpitiya, 130 km north of the airport. A destination that boasts some of the best pristine beaches in the island, it guarantees the most memorable beach holiday with stunning sunsets. Consisting of 14 small islands, the Kalpitiya peninsula lagoons are huge with generally still and dazzling waters with small waves. Spend the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Kalpitiya.

DAY 2 – KALPITIYA

Starting the day early join a boat tour for whale watching. December to April is the best time to embark on a whale watching cruise with February to March being the ideal time for Sperm Whale sightings. Numerous dolphins including Spinner Dolphins are seen along the Kalpitiya coastal belt. Be ready with your camera and be prepared to hear the astonishing dolphin songs as the pods communicate in their high pitched ‘whistles’ and ‘clicks’. You can also enjoy some water sports of your choice. Overnight stay in Kalpitiya.

DAY 3 – TRINCOMALEE

After breakfast head to Trincomalee, a major resort and port city located in the east of Sri Lanka. Visit the Trincomalee harbor which is one of the finest natural deep water harbors in the world. Visit Kanniya Hot Water Spring, a destination in Trincomalee popular among both local and foreign travelers.

DAY 4 – TRINCOMALEE

After breakfast visit Pigeon Island National Park, one of the two Marine National Parks in Sri Lanka. It derives its name from the hundreds of endemic Blue Rock Pigeons that inhabit the island. Next, you will visit the renowned Marble Beach, which is among the most stunning coastal locations in the east. Visit the Koneswaram Temple which rests atop the Swami Rock surrounded by breathtaking scenery and overlooking the crystalline deep waters of the Trincomalee harbor. Overnight Stay in Trincomalee.

DAY 5 – PASIKUDA

After breakfast head to the enchanting Pasikuda Bay. You can enjoy many water activities such as snorkeling, diving, riding a Jet Ski or opt to relax and unwind by the blue waters of the Indian Ocean or take a leisurely stroll on the beach. En route visit the Seruwawila Temple, a foremost ancient Buddhist temple in the island. Check in to your hotel and spend the day at leisure.

DAY 6 – POTTUVIL

After breakfast head to Pottuvil. En route visit the Batticaloa Lighthouse which is an iconic piece of colonial history. A visit to the peaceful Kallady Beach and the Dutch Fort in Batticaloa will complete your day. Overnight stay in Pottuvil.

DAY 7 – ARUGAM BAY

After breakfast, visit Pottuvil Point and Arugam Bay Beach. Pottuvil Point is where the ocean, scenic countryside and the peaceful lagoon meet and is one of the finest surf points in the island. Arugam Bay Beach, in the south-east coast is famed across the world for exciting surfing opportunities among many other water sports. If water sports do not interest you, you can relax on the golden sands and have leisurely strolls enjoying the breathtaking views. Overnight stay in Pottuvil.

DAY 8 – TANGALLE

After breakfast, visit Kumana National Park located in the south-eastern coast of the country. It is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in Sri Lanka where large flocks of migratory Waterfowls and Wading Birds can be seen. Transfer to Tangalle, an idyllic destination with its captivating beaches and clusters of trendy restaurants.

DAY 9 – GALLE

You will be transferred to the heritage city of Galle after breakfast. Explore the Galle Fort to experience an alluring and iconic part of the island’s Dutch history. Enjoy at leisure in the World Heritage City of Galle wandering among the interesting and colorful souvenir shops or by strolling along the narrow pathways.

DAY 10 – WADDUWA

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Wadduwa. En route visit either Hikkaduwa Beach or Kosgoda Beach as time permits. A visit to the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda will indeed be a delightful experience. It is a unique welfare center which helps to protect endangered sea turtles. You will also have the unique opportunity to enjoy a delightful boat safari along the Madu River. Dinner and overnight stay in Wadduwa.

DAY 11 – COLOMBO / AIRPORT

After breakfast, on your final day of the tour you will depart to Colombo. Enjoy an exciting open deck city sightseeing experience in Sri Lanka’s vibrant commercial capital on board the ‘Colombo City Tour’. Thereafter, you will leave to the airport for your onward journey with memories of a wonderful vacation in Sri Lanka.
